Passion – A strong or compelling emotion. An outburst of strong emotion or feeling.
What is YOUR passion? This is a very important word. In order for you to feel passion, you must live in the present.
By living in the present, you must remind yourself to be aware of your actions, your words, your feelings and your desires.
There are some simple techniques that can help you live in the present, to be more aware of yourself and your happiness.
1. Several times during the day, be aware of your breathing. Breathe in and then breathe out. Do not change the way you are breathing, just breathe. Acknowledge that your body is working for you even though you may not be aware of it. Your heart beats for you all day and all night…..just for you.
2. When you are speaking to someone, Be aware of your voice and the person that you are speaking with. Enjoy the moment, enjoy that person. Be “in the moment.”
3. Do something today that brings you joy. While you are partaking in the activity, remind yourself to be fully aware. Look at your surroundings, enjoy the colors, smells and sounds. Enjoy your presence.
We have a tendency to rush through our lives not even thinking about the most important things. We get lost in the chaos and fast paced rhythms. I am guilty of this myself and I have to step back and remember to not let this drive me through life.
Feel your emotions, If you are angry, sad, lonely, happy, tired etc. It’s ok to feel these. It is all part of the natural rhythms of life. They all work together. A flower is a beautiful thing, but it takes dirt, rain, sun and air to make it grow and bloom.
Passion can come in many different forms, Just take a moment today and feel your passion for life. accept what is, enjoy what is and be aware of the present….the “now” of your life.
