"Seeing" things a little differently

Goodbye for now

.

Thought for today

Today is a very special day in a bad sort of way.  Today, My good and long time friend is saying goodbye to her husband. Goodbye to a life she has known for nineteen years, goodbye to her best friend, goodbye to her usual routine and goodbye to a lifestyle she had grown very accustomed too.

You see, her husband whom she loves dearly passed away only five days ago to a sudden, unexpected stroke.  She never knew that when he left out of the door Friday morning that she would never see him conscious again.

Now she has to learn a new life, deal with the pain and start over…alone.  She will always have the memories but will never feel his embrace again.

Folks…We are not promised tomorrow or even the next few hours.  Make the most of the very minute you are living in right now.  This is all we have.

I am so sorry for your friend’s loss – this is very tragic. You’re so right that we should enjoy every moment we have…

We never know what life will throw our way. But your friend has you to think about her and to comfort her. We all should be so fortunate to have that friend.

Thank you Rusha, I’ve lost a few close friends in the past year and it really awakens us into a new perspective of what is really important. Good friends are hard to find and I feel pain when they feel pain. All we have is one another in this world.
