"Seeing" things a little differently
Passion can mean many things to us depending on what the situation is. It can mean we are passionate about the food we eat or the person we love. Passion generally means “something we love to do.”
Lets look at this a little closer. If we love to do something, it is obvious we are going to do it as much as possible.
examples could be…
Health and fitness Your children
Art Your career
Passion is a wonderful thing…A gift that has been given to us to nurture our inner beings and brings us happiness.
When I was young, I didn’t know what my passions were. I kept hearing…find something you are good at. In high school the counselors would urge us to make a decision towards a career after we graduated. I didn’t have a clue. Nothing seemed interesting to me and I certainly didn’t know what I was good at.
Life is constantly evolving and changing just like the seasons change from summer to fall.
A baby may have a passion to learn how to stack blocks on top of one another but when he gets older this will not interest him any longer. A young child may have a passion to conquer a cart-wheel and try 500 times before getting it right. A teenager may have a passion to play sports, while a young adult may find a passion to become independent.
And so it goes….passions will emerge and we will cram as much of it into our life as we can. While we are creating our passions we may stumble upon a new one, leaving the old passion behind.
If you are not sure what your passion is today, spend some quiet time alone and think about all of the things that seem interesting to you. Things you would like to try or know more about. This is the starting point. You will learn that the very things you are interested in, you may be very good at!
When you start doing something that you love and time seems to stop…You have found your passion. Go for it, live it, for that is the path you are meant to take. This path will lead you into wonderful new opportunities that you never felt were possible. If more people has the guts to really follow their passions, they would be much happier peaceful human beings.
Life is like a river, the current flows in one direction. Follow your direction and you will wind around the bends and turns changing from a small stream into a large body of water. There may be a few rocks in the way, changing the course of the current but it continues smoothly on until eventually it flows out into the huge oceans of abundance. This could be your life!
If you fight the path you should be taking and try to change the course of the river by swimming upstream against the current. You will meet with resistance causing struggle and failures. Go with the flow of your life and follow your gut instincts.
If you are feeling the chaos of resistance in your life. Take some time to search your inner soul for the path that you need. Take the first steps towards your passions and let it lead you to new-found peace and happiness.
Sending passionate thoughts your way…
