"Seeing" things a little differently

About

This site is created to give inspiration, insight and share my thoughts on how I view this world around us.  To give us encouragement on coping with the lessons that we learn during our journey.

I will share my story in small excerpts that will unveil why I see things a little differently than most.  I was born with a severe, physical birth defect on my eye, congenital coloboma, glaucoma, floaters and nearsightedness.  As a result, I traveled through life with humility, isolation and rejection from many people.

Two years ago, I underwent three surgeries with some wonderful surgeons that have given me a new lease on life.  You can no longer tell I’ve ever had anything wrong with my eye!  Although I still deal with vision issues, I have gained so much confidence and I want to share it with you!

I have written my memoirs hoping to encourage anyone who is enduring similar circumstances.  No matter what the problem, there is an answer and a way to free your mind with peace and passion for life.  enter into the world of a “Blind eyes view.”

An intriguing discussion is worth comment. I do believe that you should write more on
this issue, it may not be a taboo subject but usually folks don’t speak about such issues. To the next! Cheers!!

Wow – quite a story. I wonder how different your inner world is now, now that your outer world has changed. Perhaps there are some posts here on that. Blessings to you!

Thank you for commenting! Yes indeed it is quite an experience. I am still processing everything since its only been a little over a year, My confidence level has sky rocketed and my gratefulness for every little thing is unmatched. There are times when I “forget” that the appearance of my eye is corrected and I still look away from people, its taking some time for my mind to change….after fifty years of being humbled so much. Sometimes I feel like a human experiment…but then again…aren’t we all?

Ha! Aren’t we all – so true! It’s so neat to hear that you’re being conscious of how your inner world is shifting, as I’m sure there’s a lot occurring. What a blessed insight (!) into the world of “external appearances really shouldn’t matter for so much, but they do, but I see through it, and now I can live my life with that in mind…” I hope it continues to go smoothly, and that you plant the seeds of deep beauty wherever you go!

Yes! Even since I was a child I’ve felt like an old soul and that I could “see” things that others couldn’t. Funny how our worst obstacles can end up our deepest blessings. It’s a gift and my desire is to share with others through my writing what my journey has taught me.
Most people exist in this life barely skimming the surface of the real meaning of love and spirit. You my friend are one that “sees” beneath the layers of materialism. Bless you!

Yes, it seems we’re both gifted like that. Blessings to you as well, on this glorious path we’re all on!
